Buy Cheap New Bristol
Bespoke charisma and oodles of it comes standard with every non-standard Bristol. For more than 60 years, the London
and (near-) Bristol-based car-maker has been placing its uniquely British signature on its outstanding series of
motorcars. Although the actual figures are sketchy to say the least, mainly due to the company's insistence that
nobody except the tax-man and its idiosyncratic customer base needs ever to know any more about the company, the
entire knowledge and skill required to build a Bristol, which can be called Britain's Most Exclusive motorcar brand,
has aviation at its core. Bristol aeroplanes were produced at Filton and the hand-built car production continues at
similar premises in the South-West of England. However, its one and only showroom is located on a fairly quiet
junction, close to Olympia Exhibition Centre, in Kensington, West London. Incidentally, the last published sales or
production figures released for Bristol Cars was in 1982, at which time 104 examples were reportedly produced. It is
virtually certain that nowhere close to that number is being made today, although that does not seem to dim the
enthusiasm the business owner feels for his uniquely British charge. The age-old expression, "If you need to know how
much it costs, you can't afford it", applies to Bristol Cars as readily today as it ever has. Nobody has ever called
a Bristol "beautiful", yet its eminent practicality is never in doubt. Providing space for up to four gentlemen in a
club-class cabin that is actually narrower than a 2007 Ford Mondeo is just one element of the cars' quirky design
stance. The fact that its spare wheel is contained in a locker behind the front-left wing and the battery and fuse-box
are stowed similarly in the right-front wing should highlight the car's imperious and unusual nature. A Bristol's boot
is huge.
