Buy Cheap New Cadillac
Named after a 17th Century French explorer, the carmaker was formed from the remnants of the Henry Ford Company in
1902, which means that it has been around since the earliest developments of the motorcar. The Cadillac company was
always an innovator and it was the first manufacturer to produce interchangeable high-quality engineered components in
1908. In 1910, the company sold the first car with an enclosed cabin. By 1912, the company was installing electric
starters and lighting on its cars. Cadillac's first V8 engine arrived in 1914, while it became the first carmaker to
employ the services of a stylist, rather than an engineer, to design its 1927 models. However, the innovations
continued with the first manual gearbox synchronisers in 1929, with automatic transmissions being developed from 1932
and wishbone front suspension from 1934. Of course, Cadillac is part of the General Motors conglomerate, which bought
it in 1909. It is also the classiest of all the North American brands, possessing as much cachet as Rolls-Royce for
its unabashed luxury and premium status. Of course, Cadillac models have always been available in limited numbers
across Europe and there has been a strong support for the brand because of its perceived status. However, it has only
been in recent years that a decision was reached to produce a down-sized range of models that possess a stronger
eco-presence, as large cars do not sit happily with the corporate buyer. Yet, however difficult it may have been to
ascertain a new sense of direction, especially as the model's luxury accoutrements could not be compromised, Cadillac
has entered the next phase of its existence with as much vitality and innovation as ever.
