Buy Cheap New Jaguar
In the sixties, it was space, grace and pace. Now, Jaguar advertising has introduced the concept of a "gorgeous" motor
car. And they certainly have become hugely desirable. The Jaguar XK and XKR Coupes are stunning. The XJ is a
sophisticated and graceful executive saloon - whilst the new Jaguar XF threatens to blow away the competition from
Lexus, Mercedes, Audi and BMW. JAGUAR HISTORY. Owned by Ford Motor Company since 1990 and said to be contributing to
that corporation’s major losses in 2006 (the Coventry and Birmingham-based company never having returned a profit in
17 years), Jaguar Cars is something of an anomaly. Its international reputation and image is actually considerably
larger than the car company is. In fact, much of the firm's successes seem to stem from its knockout performances at
the infamous Le Mans 24-Hours Race held in France, when its D-Type models claimed several victories. The company's
questionable foray into Formula One, essentially funded by Ford Motor Company but initially operated by former F1
Champion and Ford contractee, Sir Jackie Stewart, failed to resurrect the greatness of its racing glory days. However,
to consider these aspects is to ignore the sheer unadulterated beauty of Jaguar motorcars over the years since the
company developed from its mid-1930s Swallow Sidecar operation. Its first model, the SS100, was a remarkable machine
to look at and delightful to drive. It paved the way for a succession of sporting saloon and sportscar models, among
which luminaries such as the Mark Two, E-Type, the original 1968 XJ-Series and the latest XK-Series deserve the
successes they have achieved and the praise that has been heaped upon them. However, despite Ford's best attempts to
turn this ostensibly small British carmaker into a more major volume producer, they have been mostly in vain, as
Jaguar appears to be a brand that appeals to a more discerning market. It is generally accepted that Ford should have
concentrated on Jaguar's other qualities of class and value for money within that sector and a turnaround, while slow,
is expected to happen in coming months and years, not least once the all-new XF model hits the UK market in late-2007.
In the meantime, sharing its technology with Land Rover is clearly helping that brand to move forwards. Nearly-new,
