Thinking of splashing out on a car, new or used? Perhaps you have already convinced yourself that it is probably best to buy locally from a traditional, officially appointed dealership? If so, you could be making a big mistake. It is highly improbable that the nearest franchised dealer somehow has, or can get his hands on, the right car for you at the right (by which I mean the lowest possible) price. These days, the clued-up consumer quite rightly thinks nothing of shopping around for expensive products such as car insurance, fuel and routine servicing, so why stick to tired, old motor trade tradition when it comes to buying a car?
Actual or virtual car supermarkets are now the best and easiest places to begin when trying to identify the right cars at the right price. These businesses may be able to sell you an unused car direct. Or, ironically, they may put you in touch with one of those traditional, troubled franchised dealers although probably not one in your area because a rival elsewhere in the UK network will almost certainly undercut him. What qualifies as a car supermarket in 2012 is open to interpretation. Certainly, colossal, long-established retailers such as Motorpoint (which has sites in Burnley, Derby, Glasgow, Newport and Peterborough), Trade Sales (Slough) and Cargiant (London) qualify as archetypal supermarket operators with no allegiance to make or model. But some franchisees with large sites and showrooms have adopted an if you cannot beat em, join em approach and devoted some or all of their land and showrooms to the supermarket-style of lots of low-price stock.
In addition to these retail giants, there is also no end of internet-based specialists which link consumers with the most competitive suppliers. Whatever the type of business, it should be able to offer you pretty much everything the franchised dealer offers vehicles with proper and appropriate specs, road tests, part exchanges, finance deals (although you might find cheaper loans elsewhere), manufacturer warranties and more. If in doubt about, for example, guarantees (if any) on used cars or warranties on new or pre-registered models, ask for clarifications and explanations. In writing. If they not forthcoming, walk away and shop elsewhere; just as you would walk from any business that is not prepared to supply important terms and conditions that the consumer can read, absorb and keep for future reference. The rules of engagement differ, sometimes widely. Ask if published prices are negotiable or whether there is a no-haggle rule. Is the cost of the road fund licence, a tank of fuel and delivery included in the price? It is imperative that you are 100 per cent clear about what you are buying before you sign, so do not be afraid to ask. Not that you should need to, because the best operators in the car supermarket business are perfectly open with potential customers about everything they need to tell you and everything you really need to know.
Here, in alphabetical order, are a few of the best-known non-franchised car supermarkets and a few other companies specialising in the direct or indirect supply of heavily discounted vehicles in the UK.
BROADSPEED.COM claims to offer the lowest dealer prices and buyers looking for new, nearly-new, ex-demo or used cars would do well to use it as a starting/reference point. It has a friendly attitude and is honest enough to admit that its job is to negotiate a low price for a car then introduce potential customer to supplying retailer, after which Broadspeed charges a fee of £199 but only if the sale goes through.
Carcraft.co.uk claims to be "the leading used car supermarket" and has 11 showrooms. Its cars come with a seven day exchange policy, are guaranteed for a year, have 12 months breakdown cover and free servicing for a year. Trouble is, all those goodies cost, and its the customer who has to pay for them.
Cargiant.co.uk has up to 5,000 vehicles in stock. With a low profit margin/high product turnover approach, the prices paid by customers are keen. Surprisingly, theres a no haggle policy. A £200 deposit will secure a car for three days. But be warned credit cards, personal and company cheques arent accepted. Some debit cards are. Test drives and part exchanges are not a problem.
CarSupermarkets.co.uk is a facilitator rather than retailer, claiming to offer the only complete directory and guide to the UKs biggest car sellers. Might be worth checking its website though if only for details of vehicle retailers.
Motorpoint.co.uk stresses that it stocks European specification cars, supplied with the balance of the manufacturers warranty. It takes vehicles in part exchange. Test drives are always available. All staff receive specialist in-house training. At the time of writing, its biggest saving was on a delivery mileage 61-plate Mercedes-Benz S-class S350L CDi, yours for £59,999; a saving of £17,595 with fitted extras worth £13,209.
Saveonnewcars.com describes itself as a discount centre that works with a large network of franchised dealers. Full manufacturer warranties are promised. Part exchanges are welcomed, as is nationwide delivery. The Fiesta at £7,895 instead of £9,495 looks great value, the Ka Studio reduced from £8,725 to £6,895 less so.
Trade-Sales claims to be "the UKs lowest priced car supermarket". The Slough-based retailer has hundreds of vehicles in stock, plus "Unique Buy to Order service.
UK-car-discounts.co.uk has discounts that are easy to understand andhuge. Plenty are in the £4,000-£7,000 range (lots of French models heavily reduced!) but Vauxhall Insignia diesels are available with nearer £9,000 off. Customers can chose cars that are in stock at factories or official franchised outlets, or they can be built to order.

We were impressed with the service and with the car itself. I chose a somewhat complicated specification - for which Renault quoted ten weeks (though it arrived after nine weeks). Suffice to say we now have a correctly specified Laguna - in sparkling new condition - with a saving of £4,839 (allowing £107 for two train tickets). I initially spent several weeks in futile discussions with my local Jaguar dealer, including turnng up for a pre-arranged test drive and finding no car available, an inability to get any information on pricing initially, then getting a straight "there are no discounts" statement, and finally getting a marginal price reduction, it was clear that they did not seem to want to sell me a car. Real arrogance and indifference frankly.
In contrast, after contacting Broadspeed, in a hectic 24-hour period, my phone was red-hot from around five dealers, three of whom ended up in a very competitive Dutch auction. It got to the point frankly where I was almost embarrassed. I am sure I could have had a slightly better deal still but, frankly, didn't have any more time available to haggle. I have now purchased from the dealer who continued a dialogue with me after hours on a Friday night which demonsrtated his commitment to doing a deal. The initial discounts offered by the three dealers were 7.5% off list price, although for November and October stock purchases I was offered somewhat staggering 9% and 10.5% reductions respectively.
I was offered from one free flights to and from Heathrow for collection. Eventually, the deal I settled for was c.£33,150 for the spec below (I can't remember the exact figure) which included free transporter delivery to my house in north-east Scotland. The ultimate price was £33,999 because I added some extra options - this essentially equates to the list price for the basic car but I have fully £3k of options. Fantastic deal (for a car some dealers say is not discounted) and an exceptionally easy process.
Thanks very much for excellent service - really on a different level from any other internet price comparison service I have encountered.

I have a Lexus IS250 under a PCP which expires in January. Having tried to come to a deal with my local Lexus dealer for the past 4 months, I eventually gave up because they did not ever have the courtesy to ring me back. I have seen your site mentioned several times in Autocar and so decided to give it try. I found the site itself very intuitive and came up with the car that I wanted in a very short time at a very good price (since of course Lexus NEVER give discounts!). The next day I was rung by your company and you actually sounded like you wanted and valued my business, a first for a car dealer in my experience. I was then handed over to Mike who did the running from there. As it turns out, my initial choice did not fit my pricing requirements, but Mike was not perturbed and came back with other options and we eventually came to a deal. He even managed to negotiate a slightly higher part exchange for my old car. He then handed me over to the dealer and the upshot is that my car will probably be delivered at the end of next week. In all the time that I dealt with Broadspeed, Mike was never less than completely professional, and nothing was too much trouble. I only hope that you are still around when this contract expires as I would not hesitate to use you again. Brilliant - the best new car web site I have used. I placed a Pre-Order online Tuesday at 9.50am. I was called by your dealer on Tuesday afternoon at 2.30pm. I received his email listing the car details and specification (and even two digital images) at 3.15pm on Tuesday. I confirmed the deal and paid using my credit card for the deposit and internet bank account for the balance on Wednesday morning. My Vectra was delivered at 6.30pm on Friday evening - exactly as expected, gleaming and £6,722 less than the new list price. As the driver said: "why does anyone pay list price anymore?" I am now back from Denmark having sauntered through northern Europe on my way back to sunny Glasgow.
I don't know if you noticed but the weather in Scandinavia/Germany over the last few days has been magnificent. Hardly a cloud in the sky so the soft top was well and truly down!
I paid a visit to my DVLA office this morning and I should have my new tax disc with private plate registered by Friday.
I can't begin to tell you how pleased I am with my new car and all the arrangements. The pick up at Esbjerg was painless and very friendly. I got all the required papers and apart from nearly shooting back into the plate glass window all went well!
I am not quite at the end of the admin trail but I will certainly be recommending your company and this type of purchase/import to my friends. I was expecting far more aggro although I'm not sure from where! Even my flights and train were bang on time.
My only slight niggle was the lack of any information on build date / expected delivery date to dealer, early on. This would have been nice but now is of no real importance.

I ordered an Opel Zafira through Broadspeed, which when it arrived 6 months after the original order was exactly to the specification I had requested and some £4,000 cheaper when compared with Vauxhall's own Internet price. In writing this I would like to inform other potential customers the following learning's I have had from my experience.
1. Broadspeed are not a charity - they are there to make money and run a tight ship. As a result trying to talk to someone is very difficult, but I know form various Email exchanges that they work long hours and do not see much of home. All my exchanges with Owain and Jerry were always polite - I guess they must be used to worried customers waiting with no feedback. 2. Risk, yes there is a risk - not that you will lose your money or anything like that, but that it could take longer and cost a bit more than you anticipate. I have imported cars before and this is very par for the course - you are asking Broadspeed to save you a lot of money, so don't tie your budget and timescales up until you get the call the car is at the dealers. 3. What you are paying for. You need to take on board that you are paying for Broadspeed to find the lowest possible price. Naturally this is based on a list of dealers that they deal with on a regular basis so you pay for this knowledge. 4. The Dealer. If the dealer was an example of what Broadspeed use, then I was very pleased, we were met at the station, shown the car and even had a set of mats and full tank of petrol thrown in, (but don't bank on it!) and even a bunch of flowers - no kidding.
To sum, up would I use Broadspeed again, well provided I win the lottery next weekend the answer is definitely yes, except if it's for new Opel as I now know the dealer and like Broadspeed I have now paid for that!!!

We will email a single quote for the vehicle you requested. We (or one dealer on our network) will telephone you (once only) to answer any questions about your potential order. Other than these contacts, your personal details are never shared with any third party. If you request additional information, further calls and/or emails will follow.
3) WHERE WE ARE

Use of our web site is FREE. There is no charge for online quotes, email quotes, verbal assistance or advice. We only make a charge (of £199) if you place an order for a new or used vehicle (otherwise, it remains totally free). Broadspeed Ltd is wholly independent of any car manufacturer or dealer group. There is no obligation of any kind (upon anyone) until an order has been confirmed and accepted by any supplier we introduce to you. There are three distinct elements to a confirmed order: i) a signed order form, ii) an agreed initial payment (or deposit, as agreed), iii) the supplier's acceptance of your order, in writing (usually an order form, with its own T&Cs - which replace these). Only once these three elements have been completed can the specification, availability/lead time and price be considered firm.
5) OUR INTRODUCTION SERVICE
Once you tell us to proceed, we confirm the price, arrange the deal and introduce you to the cheapest/nearest supplier. Our main roles are to: i) negotiate the price, ii) introduce buyer to seller, iii) maximise the value of any trade in, iv) show how to minimise financing costs. Our charge for this service is £199 inclusive of 20% VAT (but only if you place an order with the dealer we introduce you to, otherwise IT'S FREE).
6) OUR FEE
You only pay is £199 if you proceed with the supplier we introduce. Generally, we take a card number at the moment of introduction to the supplier. However, we charge nothing for 3 working days. This allows time to copmplete the order process (or not). If you email us within those 3 working days to confirm you are definitely NOT going to place an order (then or later), you can choose to: a) try other supplier/s - or b) cancel the service altogether - with nothing (£0.00) being charged.
7) WHEN YOU PAY OUR FEE
If we do not hear from you after 3 working days, we would assume the deal went ahead as planned - and charge £199 inclusive of 20% VAT.
8) CIRCUMSTANCES OF REFUND
If you placed an order and already paid us the £199 fee, but the order is subsequently cancelled (or doesn't complete), we would either: a) let you try further supplier/s - or b) refund the £199 fee in full. Essentially, it boils down to this: NO CAR, NO FEE.
9) OUR CARS & PRICES
We list just UK sourced New, Ex-demo and Approved Used vehicles - Under Manufacturer Warranty (and NO imports). Web site prices are normally correct within £100 (or so); they are either the last actual price we achieved - or a price offered by an established trade supplier, within the last 30 days. Car prices vary according to several factors eg: a) time of year (dealers have quarterly sales targets); b) whether the car is ex stock or a factory order; c) whether the dealer is overstocked; d) whether it is a small family dealership or part of a large group; e) whether you have a PX vehicle; e) whether you wish to pay outright or use manufacturer finance; f) where the supplier is located (northern dealers can often be cheaper than southern ones). Call us to make certain you have the maximum advatage from all these factors.
10) TIME OR STOCK-LIMITED OFFERS
Please bear in mind that no price lasts for ever - offers can expire, stocks can run out and time-limited campaigns have expiry dates. A phone call to check the latest information is therefore strongly advised. Once you decide to proceed, we will confirm the lowest price, ex-stock or factory lead time, and any specific conditions that may influence your decision.
11) OUR PRE-ORDER FORM
To demonstrate your readiness to place the order, most suppliers ask us to obtain a signed "Pre-Order Form" from the customer (to show readiness). Our Pre-Order Form carries no obligation and normally acts as a template for the principle supplier's order form (ie vehicle's details and figures remain the same, unless changed by you - or by the principal supplier with your prior agreement). Neither a Web Quote nor Pre-Order Form obliges anyone nor fixes anything - see section 12 below.
12) SUPPLIER'S T&Cs
Normally, the supplier provides you with the actual Order Form (unless Broadspeed Ltd is acting as the supplier - see section 14 below). Once you receive, sign and return any supplier's order form, these T&Cs are fully cancelled and superceded by the principal supplier's T&Cs.
13) INITIAL PAYMENTS
Normally, the supplier receives all payments. Some dealers insist that we obtain your card number and permission to charge an agreed sum (typically £500-£1000) to initiate the order process. This demonstrates your readiness to proceed with an order (dealers will only fully discount when they are certain an order is firm). In this instance, we would always email you in advance confirming who is charging what, and when.
14) THE VEHICLE INVOICE (DIRECT)
Normally, the supplier invoices you once the vehicle arrives (and you pay them direct). Under certain circumstance (see section 15 below), we may issue the final invoice ourselves - in which case you may buy from (and pay) Broadspeed Ltd (which in that instance would be acting as Principal Supplier). This would not affect your warranty, rights or consumer protection in any way.
15) THE VEHICLE INVOICE (INDIRECT)
Indirect invoicing can result in a lower price (for an identical New/first keeper vehicle). Circumstances may be where a sale of your old car to an independent trader (who may have offered you more); or where you require doorstep delivery (and the supplier can't or won't offer that service); or where third party leasing or finance is not available through the franchise dealer because it has to offer more expensive manufacturer financing; or where the discount price quoted is obtained through a volume order (which we co-ordinate). In these circumstances, we'll always give you the option to buy direct from a main dealer or indirect through a properly established trade company (where a benefit exists you wish to take advantage of).
16) WHAT DEALERS PAY TO US
Most dealers pay a subscription or fee to be part of the Broadspeed web site network. However, where a dealer is not part of our network but offers to supply a customer we introduce, we are generally compensated by that dealer. Any such payment is made by the dealer from within its own margin or marketing budget - and is not added to the car price quoted.
17) THE VEHICLES THEMSELVES
All new cars are literally brand new and unused with full UK Manufacturer Warranty - You are the First registered keeper - Not Second keeper - New cars are not Pre registered. All ex-demo and used cars are sourced from UK Franchise Main Dealers or established Leasing/Finance/Vehicle Management companies, and you would not of course be the First keeper with an already registered vehicle. All used cars (whether Ex-demo, Dealer registered or Approved used) will have the registration document (the V5C log book) registered in your name immediately (or within 7-10 working days where the DVLA has not yet issued or sent it). All cars are UK Supplied - Not Imported (the same as if you bought from any UK showroom).
18) SUPPLIER CATEGORIES
Broadspeed suppliers are mostly UK Franchise Main Agents; however, where a lower price is available by placing your order via a separate company (with extra discount), we will offer you that option. In any event, we would only introduce you to established businesses in the following categories: 1) UK Franchise Main Dealer; 2) UK Finance Company; 3) UK Leasing Company; 4) UK Vehicle Management Company. We may also act as the Principal Supplier. In any event, we will make it clear which category of supplier offers the lowest price - and you are completely free choose which one to buy from. Whichever you select, Broadspeed Ltd offers you a no-quibble Full Money-Back Guarantee - in the highly unlikely event that something important isn't right on delivery (see section 24 below).
19) THE VEHICLE WARRANTY
The UK Manufacturer Warranty and support, Distributor back-up, and Main agent servicing remains exactly the same - no matter how the order is placed. All vehicles are supplied by a Franchise Main Agent - or by a wholly-owned Manufacturer subsidiary.
20) OUR DEALER RELATIONSHIPS
Broadspeed enables UK car dealers to promote discount car prices via this web site. Once you tell us you're ready to go ahead with an order, we check that the advertised offer remains available, we confirm the discount price and any conditions - then if you want to go ahead, we introduce you to the nearest dealer matching that price. We are wholly independent, free from any manufacturer or other bias or influence.

23) THE ORDER PROCESS
Place as many online enquiries as you like. Tell us once you'd like to go ahead, we email a Pre-Order showing the vehicle details, any supplier conditions and of course, the price. That email obliges no one to do (or buy) anything at all. Simply reply to the email - we'll double-check the price, lead time and any conditions: if you decide to go ahead, we'll take your card number, but the £199 fee IS NOT CHARGED for 3 working days (whilst you complete the order process). The supplier sends an official order form which replaces our Pre-Order form immediately (nb: price and availability remain subject to change until you sign the supplier order form, pay the agreed deposit - and the supplier accepts your order in writing).
24) NO-QUIBBLE MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE
For peace of mind, Broadspeed offers you a FULL money-back guarantee if something important isn't right upon delivery - or if the order cannot be fulfilled for any reason. This applies to all new and ex-demo cars - supplied by any company we introduced you to. 26) DATA USEAGE
We enable registered Motor Dealers to promote cars and prices on the Web Site. Dealers commit to advertise Brand New, Nearly New and Used Cars. You agree that Broadspeed Ltd is not responsible for verifying the details or condition of any vehicle unless specifically agreed, in writing. Broadspeed Ltd only works with established and registered suppliers; however, it remains your responsibility to undertake due diligence before you enter into a Contract with a Motor Dealer for a Vehicle listed on the Web Site. You may contact a Motor Dealer via the Web Site, by phone/email directly with the Motor Dealer which you locate via a telephone number listed on the Web Site. Broadspeed Ltd is not responsible for your communications with a Motor Dealer and you agree that we are not responsible for any failure by a Motor Dealer to respond to you. Once we introduce you to a supplier, it is wholly your own responsibility to review the Motor Dealer's terms and conditions; we are not responsible for sending you those terms and conditions or any failure by you to act upon them.

You agree to act lawfully when accessing the Web Site. You accept that any/ all Intellectual Property Rights in the Web Site are owned, and shall always be owned by us. Your use of the Web Site and its content transfers no rights in relation to our Intellectual Property Rights. Any use other than that permitted under this paragraph may only take place with our prior express authorisation.
30) LIMITATIONS OF OUR LIABILITY TO YOU
The Web Site contains links to 3rd party Web Sites not operated by us or associated companies. We neither control such Web Sites nor are responsible for their content. Verification of for example, Approved Used Status is the responsibility of the dealer/ vendor. 2. The information collected
2a) If you require an online quote or other information, it will be necessary to complete an online enquiry form. This information is collected as and when you complete the enqury form and use any of the services available on this Site.
2b) We may use your information to enhance your web experience and help ease future visits to help us display products or services that could be of potential use or interest. Third parties help us to maintain, manage and develop this Web Site; we may need to pass your information to them, for these purposes alone. Web site prices are normally correct - within £100 or so; they are either the last actual price achieved or a price negotiated with or offered by an established trade supplier. Please bear in mind that special offers can expire and limited stocks run out, so a call to check the latest information is strongly advised once you decide to proceed. Once you contact us, we confirm availability, lead time and the current lowest price - so you know exactly what is available on the day you wish to proceed. If you require a Monthly Quote or Trade In offer - these are also obtained from the supplier by telephone (as there can be numerous variables within the figures).
OUR INTRODUCTION SERVICE.
Once you tell us to proceed, we check the dealer is both willing and able to match the advertised (or subsequently quoted) price then offer to introduce you to the supplier. We do not commonly sell cars ourselves - our main role is the introduction - but we may do so under certain circumstance, for example: should you require a third party Trade In to be arranged, doorstep delivery or other service not available from the supplier. This would always be stated and agreed with you in advance of any payment; if you only wish to be invoiced by a Main Dealer or Supplier direct, just say so.
OUR INTRODUCTION FEE.
If you sign an order form with the supplier we introduce, our fee of £199 inc VAT becomes payable. Our service remains 100% free if you don't place an order and/or don't pay a deposit. In practice, we take your card number at the same time as introducing the supplier - but we do not charge anything for three working days. This gives you the opportunity to say you have decided not to proceed (or that a deal didn't complete).
REFUND OF INTRODUCTION FEE.
If you already paid our £199 fee, but the order is later cancelled or doesn't complete (for any reason), we would offer to either introduce another supplier - or refund £199 to your card. Essentially, it boils down to this principle: no car, no fee - and that decision is entirely your's.
OTHER ORDER-RELATED FEES.
Sometimes, due to the volume of business we introduce to specific dealers, we may also receive a bonus or fee from that supplier. Any such bonus would always be INCLUDED WITHIN THE PRICE you are quoted, not added on top.
THE CARS THEMSELVES.
All new, ex-demo and used cars are sourced from UK Franchise Main Dealers. All cars are UK Supplied - Not Imports - and always include a Standard UK Warranty (just like the showroom). Simply use your local main agent for any servicing or warranty requirements.
Certain car makes can be cheaper if the ordered through specialist fleet, sourcing and finance companies (it's your choice as to which category of supplier you use, and there would never be any obligation to take finance of any kind). Cars ordered in this way are normally registered to you directly as first keeper; however, on a few models, additional discount may be available if it is already registered. In this case, you would be the second recorded keeper. We'll fully decsribe any such option - and only offer you a second keeper option if the V5C registration document is to be updated with your details without delay. If you only wish to order directly with a Main Agent only, just say so.
DIFFERENT CATEGORIES OF SUPPLIER.
1) UK Main Dealer. 2) Finance Co. 3) Fleet Management Co. The car itself is the same no matter which supplier is used, it's just how the order is placed. We will make it clear which category of supplier offers various prices - you are free choose how to proceed. No matter which supplier you choose, the UK Warranty, back up and servicing remains valid at your local franchise dealer.
WHO WE ARE:

Broadspeed enables UK car dealers to promote discount car prices via this web site. Once you tell us you're ready to go ahead with an order, we check that the advertised offer remains available, confirm the discount price then introduce you to the closest dealer offering that price.
First established in 1962, launched online in 1996. During the sixties and seventies, Broadspeed was a successful racing team under the direction of Ralph Broad. In 1976, Broadspeed was the Ex-works Jaguar Racing team. Ralph retired in 1979. The company name and trademarks were purchased by Simon Empson in 1995.

BROADSPEED WEB SITE FULL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. ONLINE RESEARCH IS FREE: online enquiries are totally FREE and carry NO Obligation, whatsoever. Place as many enquiries as you like; there's no maximum limit. Discounts can change and batches might run out, so your online enquiry expires at the end of each working day. Once you are ready to order, just call us for a confirmed quote.
2. WHERE THE DEALERS ARE LOCATED: we try to introduce a dealer in your region - but this could be nationally (with doorstep delivery) if it's much cheaper. This is totally your decision.
3. GETTING STARTED. First, place a free online enquiry - then call us to confirm everything and start the order process. We'll call suppliers for availability, lead time and the best possible price - normally while you wait.
4. ORDER PROCESS. Once you tell us you'd like to go ahead, we email a written offer with the vehicle details, any supplier conditions and of course, the price. That email obliges no one to do (or buy) anything at all - it simply confirms an offer. If you wish to go ahead, simply reply to that email accordingly. We'll double-check the deal there and then. If you decide to go ahead, we'll take your card number (for our £199 introduction fee), but nothing is charged for three working days whilst you decide whether to place the order. *IMPORTANT: the supplier will always send an official order form. Availability of the offer remains subject to change until you have signed that order form, paid the agreed deposit - and the supplier has accepted your order in writing.
5. NO-QUIBBLE MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE: for total peace of mind, Broadspeed offers you a money-back guarantee on all new cars supplied by the dealer we introduce. Should your car not arrive in brand new condition, with the specification exactly as ordered, Broadspeed will refund everything you paid - within 14 working days (this offer does not affect your statutory rights). IMPORTANT: it is VITAL that any such problem is reported to Broadspeed by telephone or text BEFORE YOU LEAVE the dealer premises or BEFORE THE DRIVER LEAVES your premises (where delivered). Failure to inform Broadspeed before you drive away from the dealership, or before the driver leaves your home or office invalidates this guarantee completely. 6. THE SUPPLIER - MAIN DEALER DIRECT - FIRST KEEPER. The process is simply one of introduction to a Main Dealer. It's a normal showroom deal; you receive the order form and final invoice directly from the Main Agent. The order and invoice process is made direct with the Franchise Dealer who arranges for the vehicle to be registered in the normal way - directly into your name and address (as first and sole keeper). You ALWAYS receive a Main Dealer order form and ALWAYS pay the final balance to the Main Dealer (not to Broadspeed or any third party). Our role in this instance is to pre-negotiate the deal then introduce you to the dealership. Please understand that the main Dealer's terms and conditions are in force as soon as you sign an order form and/or pay any deposit.
7. THE SUPPLIER - MAIN DEALER INDIRECT - SECOND KEEPER: There are two distinct and different discounts available: 1) Main Dealer direct and 2) Main Dealer via a Fleet Mgt or Finance Company (discount 2). Which supplier you choose depends on the price and possibly any PX/Finance requirement. A cheaper price can sometimes be obtained buying through a Fleet Management or Finance Company (which itself orders from a Main Dealer). If you choose this route, we would fully describe your various choices before you reach a decision. Where extra discount is available in this way, you will in most cases be the first registered keeper (as normal). However, where there is extra discount on a second keeper basis, we'll always tell you. There is no obligation to choose first or second keeper. Please understand that the Supplier's terms and conditions are in force as soon as you sign an order form and/or pay any deposit.
8. SECOND KEEPER CONSIDERATIONS. Being second keeper is optional - totally your decision - wherever you feel there is enough extra discount to justify it. Second Keeper cars can be cheaper for two main reasons; 1) Ex-Stock vehicles are self-registered by main dealers to hit sales targets; 2) Factory Built vehicles can be ordered via a Manufacturer Affinity programme, a Fleet Mgt or Finance Company with extra volume discounts in place. There are a few second keeper disdvantages eg: marginally lower future resale value if you sell after 1-3 years; factory warranty could be shorter by up to 90 days; factory ordered cars could be delayed by 7-14 days whilst DVLA sends the V5C (the blue log book) for your name and address to be updated on their record. However, provided the DVLA is updated promptly, there is nothing wrong with choosing to be Second Keeper (assuming you feel the saving is enough). Please be aware of one potential insurance issue; insurers commonly supply a replacement car in the unlikely event there's a total loss within the first year of ownership - some insurers only pay out the market value. Note: our insurance partner offers you full TWO YEARS NEW CAR REPLACEMENT COVER with second keeper. 9. THE FINAL INVOICE. Payment is made direct to the supplier - which could be a Franchise Dealer, a Finance or Fleet Management Company. Where we have arranged the Trade In or Doorstep Delivery - the final invoice might come from Broadspeed Ltd. You only pay the final balance once your car arrives into stock. Please call us if you wish to pay on delivery - this service is usually available at modest extra cost.
10. Web Site Use.
10a) Broadspeed Ltd provides functionality so you can view cars listed for sale by a Motor Dealer. Broadspeed Ltd neither sells Vehicles off or online, you agree any car transaction will be made between you and the Motor Dealer. You further agree that the Motor Dealer's T&Cs shall apply to any transaction. 10b) We provide users with reasonable assistance to see the content on this web site, but we do not accept responsibility should you not be able to access it (for any reason). We offer you no guarantee that Web Site access will remain constantly available and uninterrupted, or free of mistakes. 10c) Broadspeed Ltd reserves the right to suspend or discontinue service for any reason, including maintenance. Such suspension or discontinuance is without incurring any liability or obligation to you. 10d) We reserve the right to amend the basis upon which you may access www.broadspeed.com or any other Service, without warning. We agree to display a notice on the Web Site informing you of any such amendment. If you continue to use the Site or Service after any such amendment, we will deem your binding acceptance of any such amendment has been granted.
11. Vehicles, Prices and Specification Data.
11a) We enable registered Motor Dealers to post cars on the Web Site. Dealers all commit to advertise Brand New, Nearly New and Used Cars.
11b) You agree that Broadspeed Ltd is not responsible for verifying the details or condition of any vehicle. It remains your responsibility to undertake due diligence before you enter into a Contract with a Motor Dealer for a Vehicle listed on the Web Site.
11c) You may contact a Motor Dealer via the Web Site, by phone/email directly with the Motor Dealer which you locate via a telephone number listed on the Web Site. Broadspeed Ltdis not responsible for your communications with a Motor Dealer and you agree that we are not responsible for any failure by a Motor Dealer to respond to you.
11d) It is wholly your own responsibility to review the Motor Dealer's terms and conditions; we are not responsible for any failure by you to do so.
12. Data Privacy and Our Obligations to You.
12b) We agree to provide access to our Web Site and Services on the basis set out within these Terms, but subject to your compliance at all times with the provisions of these Terms and as otherwise specified.
13. Your Obligations to Us.
13a) You agree to act lawfully when accessing the Web Site.
13b) You agree not to: use the Web Site or Services in any way that could lead to carrying out of any unlawful activity; email, transmit or otherwise disseminate any content which is obscene, defamatory or in breach of copyright.
14. Intellectual Property Rights.
14a) You accept that any/ all Intellectual Property Rights in the Web Site are owned, and shall always be owned by us.
14b) Your use of the Web Site and its content transfers no rights in relation to our Intellectual Property Rights.
14c) Any use other than that permitted under this paragraph may only take place with our prior express authorisation.
15. Limitation of our liability to you.
15a) The Web Site contains links to 3rd party Web Sites not operated by us or associated companies. We neither control such Web Sites nor are responsible for their content. Links to such Web Sites does not imply any endorsement or of the owners of such Web Sites.

15c) In no event are we responsible for: loss arising from or in connection with loss of contracts or business or failure to make an anticipated saving; loss of reputation or goodwill; any indirect losses which are not reasonably foreseeable by you and us at the time of entering into these Terms, suffered by you in connection with use of www.broadspeed.com, or any other matter.
15d) We are not liable for failure or interruption to the Web Site service arising out of circumstances beyond reasonable control.
15e) We use reasonable endeavours to correct any omissions or errors once brought to our attention but we offer no guarantee that information on the Web Site will be error and omission-free.
15f) Nothing in these Terms is intended to affect your statutory rights. More statutory rights information contact your local CAB or TSO.
16a) Should any part of these Terms be found to be ineffective by any court or regulator, the other provisions continue to apply.
16b) You agree not to transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms to anyone else. We may transfer our rights or obligations or sub-contract our obligations under these Terms to another legal entity.
16c) No partnership or joint venture or relationship arises by reason of these Terms.
16d) No one other than you or us has right under the Contracts (Rights of 3rd Parties) Act of 1999 to rely upon these Terms. Nothing affects any 3rd Party right or remedy existing right or is available other than as a result of the Contracts (Rights of 3rd Parties) Act of 1999.
17. Governing law and jurisdiction.
These terms and conditions are governed by English law; you hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England should legal action become necessary.
18. Content or Data Errors and Ommisions.
Every effort has been made to ensure accurate information. However, errors can and do arise. Vehicle listings are provided by Motor Dealers. Verification of for example, Approved Used Status is the responsibility of the dealer/ vendor. Vehicle images are usually provided by the dealer and may include images not reflect the actual vehicle (if used for illustration). Broadspeed Ltd controls neither the vehicle descriptions nor the images - which are always uploaded by the Motor Dealer offering the car for sale. Inclusion of dealer listings, images or data on this Site does not imply endorsement of its content. Nor does Broadspeed make any representation as to the accuracy of any dealer listings, images or data.
