New Alfa Romeo 147
The
New Alfa Romeo 147 may be getting long in the tooth, but it remains characterful, different - and attractive discounts make it good value.
New Alfa Romeo 159
The
New Alfa Romeo 159 is simply streets ahead of the old 156 it replaced, in almost any way. It looks sensational and remains a serious competitor to more traditional and expensive German saloons.
New Alfa Romeo 159 Sportwagon
The
New Alfa Romeo 159 Sportwagon has to be one of the very best looking estates on the new car market. Its a model that looks like it was designed as an estate car rather than as a adapted saloon.
New Alfa Romeo Brera Coupe
The
New Alfa Romeo Brera Coupe is without doubt a wonderful looking design; but like all sexy two door coupes (eg TT), taller front seat and just about any rear seat occupants don't have masses of space and headroom.
New Alfa Romeo GT Coupe
The
New Alfa Romeo GT Coupe works best as a stylish cruiser - and fitted with the 1.9L diesel motor. The GT looks good and is almost classless - rather like a Golf.
New Alfa Romeo MiTo
The
New Alfa Romeo Mito is a stylish alternative to the endless lines of German and Japanese hatchbacks that fill our roads. It's a funky yet well designed little car that is a lot of fun to drive - and well screwed together.
New Alfa Romeo Spider Convertible
A
New Alfa Romeo Spider is a car to look good in rather than a driver's car. Many will forgive the lack lustre driving experience for the exotic looks - is it as good looking as a California Spider?

New Alfa Romeo 159 Powerplants and Trims
Alfa Romeo is introducing a brace of new Euro5 motors for its 159. The 1750 TBi borrows the title from the Alfa 1750 of the 1960's and 70's, a classic that many Alfa enthusiasts and buyers may have owned before. The 1750 TBi is a 200PS turbo charged engine available in the 159 four door and and five door sportwagon estate versions. This all new 16v, twinoverhead cam 1742cc offers CO2 of 189 gkm producing 236 lbft torque at 1400 rpm. Acceleration is sharp, reaching 60 mph in 7.7 seconds with a maximum of 147 miles per hour. A new 159 2.0L JDTm CRD motor delivers 170PS and its emissions are 142 gkm reaching 0-60 mph in 8.8 seconds. These powerplants will find there way into the the Brera/Spider models by end 2009 or beginning 2010. The 159 models are also available with two new specifications: a Turismo Sport model has 17" alloy rims, Blue&Me hands free and iPod adaptor, leather s/wheel and sporty instruments. Whilst a new Elegante model offers park_sensors, high-vis package and leather trim known as Alfatex. Saloon prices begin at £21,800 whilst the New Alfa Romeo 159 1759 TBi Sportwagon estate runs from £22,900 OTR.
New Alfa Romeo Mito Junior
21st August 2009. The Alfa Romeo Mito is now available as a "Junior" model, priced below £11,000 OTR. The name Junior harks back to classic Alfa Romeos of the 1960s and 70s when the Bertone bodied 1300 GT Junior Coupe was all the rage. Happily, build quality and rust prevention on the new Alfa Romeo Junior is in a different league to the original! Prices of the Alfa Romeo range were just increased; however this latest model will be an an out and out competitor to the Mini First, which was launched last month. BHP is less on a Junior than the rest of the range, being 78PS rather than 95PS; however, the Mito Junior retains A/C as part of its standard equipment (which the Mini charges extra for). Spec remains broadly similar to the 1.4L Mito Turismo model, however the Junior has steel wheels and doesn't offer an adaptivechassis - which allows owners to choose the sharpness of response. At £10,995, The the new Alfa Romeo Mito Junior represents great value.
NEW ALFA ROMEO 159 "1750" Review
There was never anything wrong with the Alfa Romeo 159's looks and ergonomics, being possibly the most competitive mid-range saloon it has ever built. But efficiency is focusing design engineers on making fewer CCs generate more PS but with a minimum of CO2. So Alfa Romeo has developed a brand new range of powerplants for its midrange cars – and it's the Alfa Romeo 159 1750T that arrives on the market this month, with a massive 200PS of turbo power. This motor is also to be offered within the Brera Coupe and Alfa Romeo Spider ranges. Named 1750 – in memory of the classic 1960s and 70s Berlina 1750 models – the 4-cyl motor is to be accompanied by a new 170PS turbodiesel in late 2009. This new power unit simply transforms the new Alfa Romeo 159. It is remarkably refined yet responds instantly, delivering seamless acceleration, even from below low rev ranges. Acceleration is enhanced by smart engine_management and a direct fuelinjection, which provides excellent torque as a bonus. It could be said that the motor lacks the sporty characteristics of the classic 60's lump, but harking back to a bygone era when sporty engines like the Alfa 1750 drank fuel may be forgotten as this new Alfa Romeo 1750 manages 37 mpg CO2 reading of just 189 gkm.
