New 2010 Porsche 911 GT3

10th January 2010. A Porsche 911 GT3 is possibly the sole car (other than a Caterham7 or a Lotus) where the driver remains so completely hard wired to the action. It is hard to find any other car that responds as instantaneously or pleasurably as a Porsche GT3. This car is utterly focussed on road or track; it is probably the best performance car produced in the world right now.
NEW PORSCHE 911 GT3 RS

Porsche calls the the new GT3 RS “the ultimate 911 - so far”. This model is a special homologation version using the 3.8L flat-6 from the 911 GT3; however the motor now packs a full 444 PS versus 429 PS, which is 35 PS over and above the outgoing RS model. This new GT3 RS has broader front/rear track and even fatter wheel arches plus a simply vast carbon fibre wing fitted with alloy struts at the back. The motor is naturallyaspirated and possesses greater than 113 PS perlitre, coupled to a manual 6 speed box with lower-ratios and a super shortshift. Weight has fallen by 10 kg due in part to a lithium ion batteries. There is no doubt that Porsche set out to construct one of (if not the) leariest 911 Coupes of all time, complete with "look at me" decals across its body. The new Porsche GT3 RS is available on the UK market from early next year costing (wait for it) £100760 OTR.
New 2010 Porsche 911 Turbo

The new Porsche 911 Turbo now has a bigger and twinturbo motor which produces more BHP, and now with an optional twinclutch transmission with normal shift-paddles. This is the first wholly new powerplant in the 911 Turbo's more than 35 year production run. Basically, it is the same direct-injected 3.8L flat-6 in a stock 911, but the Turbo has a variable-geometry twinturbo giving a massive 493PS 20PS more than the present Turbo. Porsche says CO2 emission is reduced by 18 per cent, fuel economy is better, the 0-60 mph time is now under 3.5 secs and the maximum speed is up to (wait for it) 194 mph! The 6-speed is still fitted as standard, but a 7-speed PDK transmission is now offered (automatic double-clutch system) which offers Sport or SportPlus driving modes. Other changes are revised lights, upgraded cabin in common with the whole 911 changes, and a new 4-wheeldrive system. The new Porsche 911 Turbo will be seen at the Frankfurt motorshow this September, and will be available to buy from the end of 2009. The new Porsche 911 Turbo coupe costs around £2000 extra at £101,820 OTR and the cabrio version roughly £3000 more, at £109,048 OTR. Even at that, the new Porsche 911 Turbo coupe is a total bargain!
