THE NEW 2010 VW POLO
5 January 2010. You could say that the New Volkswagen Polo is almost a "mini VW Golf" - and that would be no bad thing at all! The new VW Polo provides much improved handling and road holding over its predecessor; it's comfortable, well built and with a class-leading interior. The new Polo offers plenty of internal storage space, its ride is supple / well controlled and it certainly possesses unrivaled status in its class. Entry models have a weedy and relatively unrefined 1.2L motor, so if that's your choice, we'd suggest looking at the Fiesta range - which is better to drive, offers significantly more discount yet is comparatively well built. Overall, the new VW Polo offers a superb all round package with plenty of room and safety equipment as standard. The Polo should also depreciate relatively slowly holding on to more of its value over time. We rate the new VW Polo very highly - it's a great car.
2012 - New Volkswagen Golf Mk7!
The global downturn has apparently reduced new VW Golf sales by sixty thousand cars in the 1st half of 2009. Whilst the economic crisis handed Volkswagen an opportunity to acquire cash-strapped Porsche, this investment has delayed the introduction of the new Volkswagen Golf Mark 7 (definitely more than just a face-lift). The new Golf look and design will be decided around the middle of next year - and head designer de’Silva has shared the fact that although the new Mk7 Golf look was keeping him awake at night, there is now a shortlist of two. VW and de’Silva will likely select a mixture of those two, trying to retain a recognisable Golf, whilst steering clear of a full blown evolution. The new VW Golf Mark seven should shave 130 KG off the Golf Mk6's weight, using VW ’s new M.Q.B. high-tech multi-range platform; it will be introduced on the new Audi A3 and the new VW Passat (both in model year 2011). VW car dealers have no firm details on Golf specifications or prices, but it is anticipated the latest 2012 VW Golf Mk7 will have a discount price below £15000 - with excellent deals from the VW Car Finance and Leasing division.
