New 2010 Renaultsport Clio 200 Cup
10th January 2010. The Clio Cup delivers the kind of electric driving experience that you find in a go-kart. Feedback is fantastic and response instantaneous. The Clio Renault Sport Cup teaches drivers how to maximise grip without writing it off in a ditch - it just hangs on for ever. The Clio 200 Cup offers good, cheap fun whilst the family remains comfortable - even with shopping bags on board. Honestly, that's everything a keen driver can expect after paying £16000 for a new car.
New Renault Megane Coupe Renaultsport
A hot new Megane has arrived! Renault announces car prices and detailing for the new 247PS Renault Sport hatch back offering wide scope personalisation of spec and steering/ suspension settings. NEW RENAULT MEGANE REVIEW
The new Renault Megane has a 2-tier bonnet line rising from the wheelarch bulge leading to Renault family's recent head light redesign. The raked roofline lends a sporty and rakish profile as a 3dr or 5dr model - and all that makes the new Renault Mégane stand out from the crowd. The new Renault Megane inside follows the new Laguna style which was much applauded last year. Quality improvement is the Megane's trump card - this car has a genuine Volkswagen quality feel about it. Only the Megane's digital dashboard and array of instruments detract from a superb interior; they look somewhat at odds with the high standard acheived elsewhere in this car. Renault's 1.9L CR turbo diesel motor is powerful, torquey, performing very well across the rev range. The Megane is also pretty refined, though cabin road and windnoise are not class leading. The CR engine is economical (averaging 44 mpg) or far better as a motorway cruiser. The new Renault Mégane handles safely and competently, but could not be described as a driver's car. The hard ride is a surprise given that the handling is not overly sharp. Many rivals offer superior comfort and driveability. Renault produces great hot hatchbacks - which normally offer benchmark damping so it's ironic for the mass-market Meganes to miss out on what most value in a French car - a comfy ride. A topof the range Mégane Privilege model offers real luxury and a long equipment list. Heated electric leather seats, Bi-zone Climatecontrol with Navigation are all standard. The Renault Megane's running costs will be competitive (with long service intervals) and the good fuel economy will help. Renault moved its game along on these latest Megane models. The latest Mégane closes a gap, so it rivals classleaders on its build quality, value and impressive accommodation. Dynamically, the latest Megane fails to win out against its peers. Overall, the new Renault Mégane is very capable, though somewhat lacking in traditional French flair.
