Audi A3
Audi's A3 range are compact hatchbacks and a A3 convertible. The A3 range was introduced back in 1996 first as a 3dr hatch. The A3 is also available Quattro AWD specification for the more powerful motors. The Audi A3 received a facelift in 1999 (engine range 1.4 TSI, 1.6 FSI, 1.9 TDI, 2.0 CR TDI and 3.2 FSI). Then in 2003 the Audi A3 range was replaced with a new look which was sharper looking and far more refined. The new Audi A3 sportback is definitely a high-end, almost premium vehicle with superb driver dynamics delivered by a brilliant power train, with well tuned suspension and brakes. For all that, the new Audi A3 sportback is very efficient on petrol or diesel, with 30mpg possible on the road. A new Audi A3 Sportback is a practical3dr or 5dr hatch, but it has a really good feeling about it, almost a cut down Audi A4 (though no worse for that). We think the Audi A3 has a wonderful combination of style and dynamics equally at home locally or on the motorway. The new Audi A3 is a shining beacon to the motor industry; understated looks; superb detail design; tactile interior_material; all this sets the new Audi A3 apart from its rivals. The Audi A3 provides the driver with lots of information and feedback, a great balance on the road, and instant accelerator response - all of which makes for a thorughly convincing driving experience. The new Audi A3 is spacious and versatile inside, with qaulity materials and logically placed switchgear and clear instrumentation. Changes this year add Audi's quattro AWD drive system as optional extra with the 2.0L turbo FSI motor, Audi Magnetic Ride system (AMR is said to improve ride and handling), with changes to interior look and trim plus new Audi options packages. The A3 standard equipment list now includes steering wheel (leather), auxiliary radio input, Audi assist hill-hold. The A3 3.2L now includes Bluetooth, Xenon headlights (bi in fact), a ConcertCD and radio, whilst the new A3 includes Suspension and Seats categorised as SPORT.
