BMW 3-Series Coupe
The BMW 320 Coupe helped BMW become an exclusive brand - changing from a limited, (mainly private buyer) sales into the business mass-market success story it is today. The best selling models are the BMW 320d Coupe, BMW 320i Coupe the BMW 335d Coupe in both SE and M-Sport trim. Following on from the relative success of the 1602/2002 series of lower-medium size BMW_ models of the 1970s, the 3-SRS was effectively a down-sized 5-SRS in terms of both styling plus presence. However, the model was to prove hugely fruitful to the company in providing it with an important place in the medium segment. Although hard to believe, as Ford Motor Company used to rule the size classification, with various models from Cortina to Sierra plus, then, a succession of Mondeo models, the later versions of the BMW_ 3-SRS continued to nibble away at its class lead, eventually overhauling it in the 1990s plus outselling it comprehensively, helped in no small part by the company motorcar scene that wanted a more up-market appeal for its end-users plus BMW_ becoming increasingly aware of a need to build its volume profile. Yet, BMW_ was feeling exceedingly over-exposed by its success in the UK, as critics were only too keen to highlight that the 3-SRS was ubiquitous plus there is no denying that it has affected the residual values of this one-time, near depreciation-proof motormotorcar modelrange. However, the demand has been unrelenting, which has meant that BMW_ has reassessed its market status plus taken another approach, which amounts to making continual model improvements plus enhancements throughout the model's life to ensure that interest levels are maintained at a commensurately high level. In its most recent guise, it follows the styling precepts established by the company's North American design chief, Chris Bangle, with the technique that has been christened "flame-surfacing". It is a beautifully detailed motormotorcar possessing a fine build quality plus enormous customer appeal, being available in saloon, Cabriolet, estate motorcar (Touring) plus Coupe forms but not least for its stoical adherence to back-wheel-drive plus exceptional dynamic balance. The BMW 318d is a fantastic buy on PCP or to contracthire or on leasing as its depreciation rate is so low.
